December is a fallow point of the year for mobile hardware, when new releases actually virtually disappear until after the craze of shopping during the holidays and rise with the arrival of CES, Samsung’s next flagship launch, and then MWC shortly thereafter. But that does not mean that this month is not a busy one when it comes to news, leaks and rumors about all the mobile gadgets that are around the corner – with this point in mid-December it appears to be chock full of block-full of Galaxy S11 rumors . Prolific leaker Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), for example, refers to February 18 as the possible date for the Samsung Galaxy S11 launch event, reportedly in San Francisco and where it will also launch a new series of clamshell foldable phones.
Meanwhile, the Dutch technical news blog LetsGoDigital has been released with a new series of 3D views and video animations in which the coming S11 line is presented in all its glory, including the S11e, S11 and S11 Plus, which you can view above.
Once you’ve done that, here’s a summary of some of the most important details we know so far:
highlights: The new Samsung flagship series is expected to be in stores a few weeks after the unveiling (presumably a March 2020 release date). This time we also have different S11 5G models, unlike last year, in addition to five different S11 models.
Design / Camera: The phones have the same basic design, including an Infinity-O display with a perforator selfie camera aligned in the middle and a camera with multiple lenses on the back. The first word is that there might be five cameras on the back, with the possibility that at least one of the models in the line-up has a 108MP camera. That is according to XDA Developers (and seconded by Ice Universe), who identified the app code of the Samsung Camera and refers to such a camera.
Rumors: Samsung Electronics will launch the Galaxy S11 series and clamshell folding phones in San Francisco, USA on February 18, 2020.

Evan Blass, another well-known leaker (@Evleaks), has the S11 screen sizes linked to 6.4 inches (possibly 6.2), 6.7 inches and 6.9 inches for the different models – the S11e, S11 and S11 Plus. Samsung will apparently also add a much stronger battery to compensate for the extra requirements that a 5G handset with extras such as more cameras, for example, will put on the battery. Along this line, Ice Universe tweeted a little more than a week ago, showing that Samsung will include a huge 5,000 mAh battery in the S11 Plus.
